Trophy for Alana at Super 1!
R&S Motorsport would like to congratulate Alana Taylor on her excellent progress so far this season and in particular the Shenington British Junior Championship round just gone.
The 14 year old from Cumbernauld took an excellent rookie victory in the KF3 class, the top flight category for the under 16's.
For someone that had only sat in a kart for the first time one year this month, she has shown pure determination and talent to match lap times of people with 3 or 4 years more experience than her! The help with driver tuition from Terence Dove of Evenflow (http://www.evenflow.co.uk) has helped massively and has been a great success.
Jamie Rush had a torrid weekend in the KGP class, losing his rear bumper in Heat 2 and gaining a broken wheel in Final One, Final Two was slightly better with a hard drive from the back of the grid to finish 13th.
We would also like to congratulate Kenny Vermeylen on reaching the Finals of the KF2 European Championship after a good weekend at the qualifiers at PF International, and also a brilliant 2nd place in the French GPO round at Angerville.
All of this was achieved using the Tecno SS30 chassis, for more information take a look at http://tecnokart.co.uk or email us on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Big Things to Come!R&S Motorsport would like to congratulate all of their drivers for an outstanding season this year, resulting in many wins and fastest laps. Alana Taylor proved to the boys that they cannot have it all their own way in the Junior Blue class. Having only sat in a kart for the first time in May this year when she joined R&S Motorsport on the Tecno Mini 101 chassis, Alana has showed outstanding progress and pure talent. In only her third race she managed to rack up a fastest lap at Llandow and then once the race craft had come, heat wins and final wins were soon to follow. In her first season she was seeded number 14, even missing rounds and dropping crucial points through starting late. Her first outing at Clay Pigeon resulted in her first win; she then made it 2 out of 2 and won at Clay again by a massive 9 seconds! Well done Alana! Next season she will be making the jump to MSA Super 1 in the KF3 class, on the Tecno SS30 kart. She is joined at Super 1 with KZ driver Jamie Rush in the new exciting KGP class. Also Duncan Mcleod cleaned up in the Formula Blue Masters and Top Weight winning the southern series and the grand finals in both classes, the 0 plate in the masters and securing number 4 overall in the Formula Blue class. R&S Motorsport would like to thank Jose, Graziano and all at the Tecno factory for all of their support and hard work throughout this year. We have just homologated the Tecnokart Scout 95 for use in the MSA Super Cadet class, testing is available. Drives are available for MSA Super 1, in Super Cadet, KF3, KF2 and the new KGP class, ranging from awning space to a complete arrive and drive package. Winning the first heat from last position on the grid, Michael then went on to win the second heat from the mid pack, dominating the field in the wet conditions. Following up with a second in the third heat, this put him on pole for the final. Starting on pole Michael led the field from start to finish, winning by a huge 5 seconds. Congratulations to Michael from all at R&S Motorsport. More Trophies for R&S Motorsport at LlandowR&S Motorsport drivers showed that they have what it takes to compete with the best drivers in the country! In Junior Blue Alana had all of her bad luck come in one weekend, In 3 out of her 4 heats she managed to get pushed off track by one driver or another! However she made up for it in heat 3 with an awsome drive to finish in 3rd position out of a large grid of 23 drivers. Sitting in 4th most of the race she made a move on the final lap which had everybody egging her on! However due to the unlucky heat finishes, she had to start the A Final off of 17th spot on the grid. After a wonderful start, Alana fought her way through the field, and on lap 8 found herself in the top 10, unfortunatly a slower defensive driver ahead, held her back and the pack slowly started to catch, the front driver of that pack put in a late lunge on Alana at the hairpin and she lost 3 places back to 12th position, still great for her first race off of novice plates! Unluckily on the final corner the fastest driver on the track managed to whip past, which was disappointing but 13th still a great result indeed. In Senior Blue two R&S Motorsport drivers were competing for the Formala Blue Masters and Top Weight titles. In the end it was Duncan Mcleod that came out top winning a staggering 5 trophies over the weekend. Steve Cullen had a tough weekend but still managed to come away with a 3rd place trophy! Trophy Haul for R&S MotorsportR&S Motorsport drivers again showed their hand at the Southern Blue Challenge at Forest Edge on the 1st August. In the Junior Blue class Alana Taylor put on a wonderful performance in her last novice race, starting in 5th she pushed her way through the field to get into second position, holding it there until the end. Everybody was delighted to see her on the podium at last, and also winning best junior novice of the day! In KZ2 Jamie Rush used this race to get to grips with his new SS30 chassis and brakes, he won all 3 heats, and then won the final by a massive 20 seconds! Senior Blue was the big race of the day! Duncan Mcleod managed to jump Craig Copeland off the start to hold the overall lead for 3 laps of the race, after Craig had passed it was a simple race for Duncan. Finishing second overall and winning both the Masters and the Top Weight classes on the day. The next race really is the 'Big One', as all of our formula blue drivers will be competing at the NKRA Grand Finals at Llandow.
